I might try ebay first with some gently used shoes. I have had great success with brand names like nine west, cole haan, rockport, Gianni Bini and of course Kork Ease.

Im looking at a pair of Stuart Weitzman boots, can anyone guide me on how they size up? Compaired to say nine west or Cole Haan?

At times i would go shoe shopping at Winners or thrift stores while wearing my 3.5 inch wedge Cole Haan boots. To try on the shoes im looking at I have to unzip my boots and take them off . it was quite the thrill.

You are so right, always look at the style first... I love many different styles of boots, but am extremely particular at the same time. I try to buy only leather boots, and do my best not to buy from China, but that seems near impossible these days...
its hard not to buy made in China as even good brands are made in China these days. I certainly wont buy from China, havnt had one good experience out of three purchases.

Could you give up wearing heels if you were in a relationship with a woman who wore the heels you like so much?
Ive thought about this and dont know if I could or not.

I've had good luck with Bandolino as they seem to fit a bit wider than average. I think they are a sub-brand of Nine West. Clarks are also great for boots but hard to find decent heels in their shoes these days. Same for Aerosoles, comfortable but the styles are headed way downhill. I recently had a pair of Born wedge sandals that were probably the most comfortable heels I've ever had.
Ive got a few pairs of Clarks Pumps I might be purging. Black patent Bryer I think they are called.

Im just curious what every ones favorite brands are. Why do you like them? any disappointments?
Luckily Im an 11/42 in womens . One of my long time favorites is Nine West. Love the quality and the feel. Cole Haan is another favorite nice quality heels and boots. Kork Ease a fun brand. Ive had some nice Kors wedges and some boots yet others dont fit. Rockport feels good, and lately ive bought some Giani Bini boots that fit and feel incredible.

Living up in Canada, Boot season is upon us. Shame so many younger women prefer Blundstones.

Was she upset that you were wearing heels or annoyed that you might damage her shoes?

In the last few years Ive been underdressing, lingerie under my boy clothes. Stockings panties garter belt or girdle bra etc Wearing a 42A bra I get lots of looks from women. a co worker commented on my chest asking if im working out lots. On the Road I also wear what i call stealth boots that kind of look like a cowboy boots but are actually Cole Haan Leather wedges. Really enjoying this life now.
