I like the thighboots , unknown.

Yea, I think I remember that thread nigel. I don't think it was the original posters intent to upset everybody, but after it happened he was probably afraid to repost for fear of getting flamed.

Welcome Platformluver115, If there is one thing we all have in common, we all like heels. You've found the right place.

There here! These boots are gorgeuos in person. When trying them on they were actually a tad too large, and I found them lacking in arch support. A Dr. Schols arch support insole and it fixed both problems extremly well. I was able to tuck my jeans into them, but found they bunched up too much around my knees (not a good look). I'm definitely going to be sacrificing a pair of jean to the high heel god and slit the side seams. The real downside is that they are all manmade materials so they don't breathe at all. Gonna have to wait for fall before I do any serious street heeling in them as they are way too hot for summer. The fit around my bare calves is nothing short of sensational. Pics to come once I modify a pair of jeans.

Excellent day you had there Jeff. Heeling in new places is always a thrill, reactions or not.

Best of luck Heel Man, Saying that shes "more than happy" sounds like a green light to me.
-
I agree Danelle. At first for me it might have been fetishy, it is now pure passion. The thrill comes from doing something that society says your not suposed to do. The confidence level of wearing a beautiful pair of heels is also a definite high.
-
Yup, mistake number two. Oh well, nobody's perfect.

No doubt in my mind which group are the better dressers. This just reinforces my belief that flip-flops=dumpy.

Hi chris, You should have requested that a moderator move your existing thread for you to the proper location, as reposting here would be creating a redundant thread.

You may be right Bubba, I certainly can't rule out what you said. I have also seen that we can't seem to lick the problem of the guys posting in the gals section. The ladies made it quite clear that they wanted this section off limits to posting by guys, yet it's still happening. So maybe we as a group are being screwed by those that can't resist posting there. And yet we let it continue. If that's so maybe we don't deserve their presence here. I can understand their frustrations with this board.

Hi chris_underheels and welcome to hhplace! You've come to the right place if you like ladies high heeled footwear. If you feel like your obsessed, join the club because I know I am. Sounds like you have somewhat similar taste in womens footwear that I do.

Last fall I was in a store wearing a pair of 4 inch heel work style boots (like J-Lo, but with round toes, thick soles, and block heels). There was a group of teenagers standing in front of the store. When I left, one of the boys giggled and frantically motioned the others to look. One girl said, "Wow, pretty cool!" and a couple more sounded out in agreement.
After reading some of the negative stories here about teenagers reactions to guys in heels, I was extremely surprised that the most positive reactions I have recieved from starngers have come from teenagers. After the inital shock wears off they think it's pretty cool.
I also think that the less you try to hide what your wearing on you feet, the greater the degree of acceptance. Don't be afraid to let the world see what you got on your feet, this is another outward sign of confidence.
Edited to add: onyourtoes, I want those stiletto boots! Those are gorgeous! Like you I am not yet ready to wear them in public, but I'm not that far away from doing it.
-
I'm a true believer in that anyone can be beautiful if they want it bad enough. I have also seen some makeovers that were nothing short of magic. I think that many women who have given up on themselves see another beautiful women and wish they had been born beautiful too, not realizing that the beautiful woman they were looking at probably had to work at it as well. As far as body oder goes, I'm sorry there is just no excuse for it, unless your homeless.
-
Then we're in complete agreement Dawn. I don't find them fetishy either, but many people do. I suppose that's part of the rush of wearing them.

in all my years of wearing fetish boots and leather in public, ive noticed 3 disctinct reactions. the first, and most prevalent,is that they dont see you. what they see cant be real,so they ignore the input. 2nd is the 2 second look and then ignore. and the 3rd,and most fun,and the jaw drop and rubber neck stare.
I quite have to agree number 3 is so much fun, especially if you have the opportunity to make eye contact and smile.

Well, I'm no rocket scientist, but I plan to order a pair and find out for myself. They just look too nice to pass up! And I'm dying for new boots!

I'd love to hear what your coworkers have to say about those boots. Speed laces and zippers aside. I'd wear those. They look pretty comfy too. Just be warned JeffB, lace ups can be kind of restrictive around the ankle. You may have to alter your walk a bit to compensate. On the plus side the fit for laceups is incredible, and feels incredible.

That's really cool Jim! I saw a similar painting technique used on a ceiling in one of the halls within the vatican.

mskim61, You actually can have a suprising amount of control over peoples reactions. The single most important factor is confidence, or even the illusion of it. If you seem nervous to other people while wearing heels people will pick up on that and will probably blurt out negative comments or worse. If you project confidence, most people will probably not react at all, and some may react positively. No matter what, someone will have a negative comment. When it happens it's important not to get rattled. Just smile and shrug it off. In the nearly three months I've been street heeling daily, the only truly negative reaction I ever got here in central Maine was one old lady shaking her head at me in disapproval (I thought the poor old woman was going to swallow her dentures) while going into a local Hannafords supermarket. I love to wear stilettos in public. I walk really well in them. This is also important to subdue peoples negative reactions. People have trouble reacting at all to a guy who walks well in heels and does it with confidence. I hope this helps. Edited to add: Don't be afraid to go back and read some of the old threads here. That's where I found much of my confidence. This is a wonderfully supportive group here. If you really want to wear heels in public again everybody here is behind you.

Did I also mention that there is a skechers and a Candies (I think) outlet as well?
Even better, hoverfly. All the more reason to go shoe shopping. Got a pair of CAndies boots that I wear around and about. Wouldn't at all mind having more if there is an outlet there.
-
Yep, I read a comment on some boot that the zipper is provided for once you get that perfect lacing so you don't have to undo and redo it.
Only problem is that it doesn't work with speed laces. Once you unzip the laces fallout.
-
Awesome boots, but I still have to wonder why so many lace-ups also include a zipper.
-
Thanks for the info on those boots, Jim. I'm going to have to see about getting myself a pair.

New pair of boots starts me serious street heeling.

Glad you like em' guys. Before I slit a pair of jeans, I thought I'd try to see if I can find some with zippered legs this coming weekend if I can find the time.
