I can make May 13, but not the other 2 dates in May. Count me in on May 13 in London. A few of us went to Paris a couple of years ago, to be honest I think London has more going for it on the heely front. We did not get any members from France along for the meet. London will definitely get more response. Calv

This is absolutely awesome! I can't wait to meet you guys in person--Dr. Shoe and Calv (legends of hhplace) and Xaphod (besides Firefox, his pics first inspired me to street heel). Hopefully Daz comes!

I just went through the entire member list and pm'd everyone that lives in the U.K.. I also pm'd a few people that live in the rest of Europe. Total pm's sent amounted to over 150. I will be sending a series of additional pm's as one pm alone could be easily ignored or accidentally discarded.

Hi there, would love to be there too and meet all of you. I come from Germany though. Can anyone offer a place to stay?? Or does someone knows a good cheap hotel? England is a little expensive and I´d rather spend my money in some new heels... If so I would try to get a cheap flight and stay there one night. Heeluis

I understand your dilemma. The dollar is weak against the pound, so London can get pricey quickly. I'm researching possibilities right now. Perhaps we can book a room with two beds in it and share the cost.

edited: I already booked a room at the Novotel Euston.

I see you live in Hamburg, so getting a cheap flight to one of the airports won't be too hard. Try:

for some ideas on what to pay.

Count me in for a shopping/beer trip on any of those dates.

Looking forward to meeting you! I'll keep this thread organized and updated with new information as the heel meet plans evolve.

Would love to join you all but sadly not available around the 13th. Kneehighs: how long are you in the UK for? There's reference to 'other' dates on this thread in addition to the 13th May, but I don't know what they are. Perhaps there'll be another opportunity to get together. highonheels

I'm only going to be in London Sat and Sun nights. Then I go back to Paris, which is what the other dates were for. I deleted those dates so as to dedicate this thread to the London Heel Meet.

Is this going to be a day-time trip?

If that question was intended for me, it'll be a three day, two night trip. My hotel is on Euston street, which should be within walking distance from Soho.

It's close to Central London to be not be in the middle of everything but not that close. That hotel will take a least 20-25 minutes to walk to from Soho/Leicester Square.

Personally I think being a little away from everything is better IMO - not so much noise. I always go with that when I'm booking a hotel.

You can't go wrong with Novotel I reckon.

Cool. Sure beats the Notting Hill location I stayed at last time though. At least the tube stations are much, much closer as they are within close walking distance.

I believe so, I thought it was a day time trip. What time are you arriving Kneehighs?

Calv

Hey Calv!..I just booked my eurostar tickets...let me check here...I arrive on Saturday at Waterloo at 13:25 and leave back to Paris on Monday at 12:09.

My intention was for the heelmeet to be on Saturday only: a daytime and nightime meet, with the option for people to choose one or the other or both. At one point in time though, hopefully we can all be in one spot at the same time for a big group pic.

Daytime activities could be like that of past heel meets...(need some help from the locals here)...and a nightime cap clubbing for those that are interested.

I haven't ironed out the specific details yet, but will post more details as soon as I can smooth things out through the advice of Heelfan or Firefox (or any other local willing to help) and have taken the time to study what you guys have done in the past.

What we usually do is to meet at around 11.00 near Tottenham Court Road station and then "do" Oxford Street, a spot of lunch somewhere and then off to a new location for the afternoon. If we do similar to this then we could meet up near the Euston Novotel at around 3ish to meet up with Kneehighs?

That would be good for me, but I am flexible to what is good for the rest of the group too. So I could come to meet you guys too, if that makes it more convenient for everyone else.

It's a possible, have to check bits and bobs, but it would be good to meet everyone.

Great! I added you to the possible attendees list in the first post. Really hope you can make it! Please let us know either way.
