fashionablefun
Over the last year and half, I’ve been slowly shooting photos of my footwear collection. Inasmuch as I’m interested in the total look, I’ve shot photos that show how each shoe or boot coordinates with the rest of the outfit. It seemed logical to post them in this thread. I’ve got over 20 that I’ve shot and actively wearing. I haven’t got them all ready to post, but I’ll do a few at a time. Some I’ve mentioned some of them before on the board and I’ll try to link back to my original posts, if I can find them. I’ve worn everything you see in public many times, although these aren’t necessarily everyday attire. I mix these up with everything from Pumas or Converse ‘Chucks’ to the Franco Sarto 'Bocca' Loafer and the Edie Bauer pointy, low-heeled boot that I first learned about here. Here’s a few, in no particular order: Nine West ankle boot, blood red, size 10.5, bought about 1.5 years ago. I mentioned the purchase in this post: http://www.hhplace.org/hhboard/viewtopic.php?p=74451#74451 Also talked about these same boots in a post about shopping for jeans: http://www.hhplace.org/hhboard/viewtopic.php?p=74731#74731 Here’s my attempt at walking ‘catwalk style’. I don’t quite have it down: Antonio Melani (Dillard’s house brand) tall boot, tan, size 10, 2 years old. I posted an interesting exchange about these boots when I visited my dry cleaner here: http://www.hhplace.org/hhboard/viewtopic.php?p=85659#85659 Also mentioned these same boots in a post about eating out in a fast-food restaurant: http://www.hhplace.org/hhboard/viewtopic.php?p=72897#72897 Here’s something I anywhere, with anybody. Others, I’m more discrete. Banana Republic ankle boot, black, size 10, about 3 years old
kneehighs
cuarenta18 I do know where to find a couple of other pics of Ale, but that requires some digging. fashionablefun So glad to see that you are still around, seriously! I like outfits two and three the best. You must be wearing Seven's in number 2, no? The crease they manufacture down the middle is a trait of theirs. And your jacket in pic three is awesome. Love it! I was having a tough time trying to figure out which outfit I liked best, since I like both two and three. But the outfit in pic three seems to be the winner...the pinstriped jacket dressed down with your undershirts and jeans looks edgier in my book. BRAVO! Feminine Style . Masculine Soul. fashionablefun
Kneehighs: Thanks for the compliments and of course, I've always been around, I'm just a lazy poster. You're right, the jeans are Sevens. The center crease is a dead giveaway. CB17: Yea, I've always loved red too. Those aren't the first, nor probably the last, pair of red footwear for me. dr1819
I'm with you, Anton. Excellent coordination in the photo immediately above! I think Alexandro's style as depicted in the last two pics of him herein is quite acceptable, as it's very stylish. While it may border on a gender-(vulger), it does so in a very fashionable style, and it's clear there wasn't a lot of makeup, wigs, whatever to make him look more feminine. Some men just have a look about them that's more feminine than masculine, just as some women could cut their hair, go without makeup, and most people would assume they're male. I say accentuate what you have!
HeelD
Well here's what I wore around Paris last week... This one was taken up the Tour Montparnasse on Thursday: This one was taken up the Eiffel Tower on Friday (I had socks on because it was windy and cold): This one was taken outside our hotel later that day. I took my socks off after the Eiffel Tower (it had warmed up quite nicely!): I also wore the blazer outfit I posted above out to dinner with my girlfriend on the Thursday night. kneehighs
Heel-D Ahh yessss, the relaxing ambiance of Parisian memories are enfolding my very being right now. fashionablefun Looking forward to more pics when you get the chance. Good job on your outfits. I was looking at pic 3 and it looks like your ballerina shoes have bows, but I can't be sure. Either way, good job my friend. Here is today's outfit for me: --Hugo Boss t-shirt bought in Paris --Women's Zara oxford underneath--its fit is tighter, allowing me to layer form fitting tshirts over it. --Zara bootcut pants bought in Buenos Aires --Nine West 4" courts/pumps And a close up of how I daily do my hair. It's a tiny bit "cool" as I brush the sides forwards--from back to front and use a bit of gel. Click HERE for pic Originally I was going to wear blue jeans, but then I would have looked tooo Red, White, and Blue if you get my drift. kneehighs
There is a somewhat famed blogger from the Phillipines who posts at The Fashion Spot sometimes. His name is bryanboy. Sometimes he incorporates heels into his outfits. If you read his pages, you'll see alot of his fans send in pics of themselves holding a bag/purse out in the air with one arm, which is bryanboy's "signature" stance. Here is a pic of what I think is one of his fans from his flickr page: Feminine Style . Masculine Soul. Skin In The Game.
dr1819
Well here's what I wore around Paris last week... Terrific! I hope to make it to Paris this summer. I ;lan to take enough clothes that I can whatever I want to wear, as the situation suits. As I'll be driving, that won't be a problem - I'll have enough to wear whatever I feel like wearing. I'll be armed with a rather extensive photographical setup, so I doubt the locals will give me any problems.

Shoeiee
hello all!! I've been around here for quite some time. Something like 7 years or so...back when it was jenny's page :-) Regardless, here are a couple of pics of my outfit for the day. Went into a local grocery store with my wife and son. Then after dinner we went to another store for cancer-sticks...Not one comment from anyone. I'm SURE some people noticed but no one said a word to us. More proof men in heels CAN WORK!!! Shoeiee
OK!! OK ALREADY!!!! The boots are Predictions, by Payless, and were just bought off EBay. they are a pair of last year's line up. I wanted to buy a pair in white last year but the $$ didn't line up in time. When they came available on E Bay I HAD to get them!! They have a psudo-leather look to the heel, toe box area and tongue with the rest a fabric. VERY COMFY!! I've also got a pair in black, but those dont have the leather look to them. I've worn the black ones in all types of situations and unfortunately drowned them in mud last summer during an off-road 4X4 trip :-( They haven't been the same since... Will be posting more here in the future as I'm no longer in the military and don't have as much concern about repercussions... Would like some feedback on the overall look from you all too :-) Happy Heeling!! "Heels aren't just for women anymore!!" Happy Heeling! HeelD
Just thought I'd add this picture to the mix: I found this at the Fashion Spot in the Japanese Streetstyle thread. He seems to be wearing the opera pumps that kneehighs was talking about earlier in the thread. Been meaning to post this sooner. It's not an amazing outfit but I think it works. Personally, I much prefer the flats the ladies buy, but it shows that there are guys out willing to wear these types of shoes. Just looked in the thread again and found this guy wearing Mary Jane-Esque shoes... Heel-D - Freestyling since 2005

At least the girls are wearing the craziest outfits. But where is the first japanese guy on heels? Are they loosing their face on high heels I'm still waiting for male asian members in our forum following the example of girls like Debbie from Hongkong. Meanwhile many Latinos from straight catholic countries are members. Who will be the first japanese guy? But its Shoei's thread and therefore my compliments for his outfit  micha The best fashion is your own fashion!
NewfieGuyInHeels
Just thought I'd post my latest pic here. Just something I threw together on a whim. As always, all comments are welcome. http://s77.photobucket.com/albums/j78/darthraze/
kneehighs
NewfieGuyInHeels First off, I think showing your whole face is commendable. It's something I think this forum in general lacks. As far as your outfit goes, its simple. You should have seen Heel-D pulling off shoes like that in London. I'm sure you could do the same in public too. I tried to analyze that outfit (the t, the jeans, the shoes) in terms of other outfits you have shared. Most people have a general "style" that they are aiming for and I found it challenging to figure out what style you are attempting to create? Is it gothic? Is it conservative chic? Like the tan pants and dark sweater pic? Is it glam/rocker style? Like the shiny shirts pics? Feminine Style . Masculine Soul. Skin In The Game. NewfieGuyInHeels
Thanks for the compliments kneehighs, but I never really saw showing my face as a big deal. And I never really thought about trying to label my fashion taste, I just wear anything I like... I know my sence of fashion is pretty broad, i mean with so many nice clothes out there I really can't stick to just one. Variety is the spice of life, one of the reasons I opened myself up to women's shoes, so I'd have more to choose from. I can tell you, it's deffinately not goth. I did go through a short period a couple years ago where I tried the goth look, and I really couldn't grasp it Just some days I'm in the mood for Jeans and T, other times layering and trendy, and others are pleather or shinny..... Which just made me realize I should try those flats with my black pleather pants I have a pair of black pointed toe pumps with a 3.5 inch stiletto comming from ebay, I should have them late this week or early next. So you can expect pics with those soon! http://s77.photobucket.com/albums/j78/darthraze/
