Going Out In Public Tomorrow

Recommended Posts

Well, I'm finally going to do it.  My wife and I are going to Seattle tomorrow to do some shopping and I am going to wear my new 3" Suede Mary Janes I got from Payless.  I'll be wearing them with black thigh highs, 501 Levi's and a Polo shirt.  I'll add a photo later on.  I have tried many heels on in public with no problem but this will be my first outing on public streets.  I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit nervous, but I figure Seattle is a good place to go for the first time.

Wish me luck and I will let you know how it went when I get back.

Have fun.  I have been heeling in public since 1996, once I did it (yes I was nervous) I NEVER looked back.  Just enjoy yourself.  A few folks may notice, they may stare, smile or giggle, and some may even comment.  I have yet to have a bad experience.

Your post implies that your wife will be with you too?  Wonderful, it is that much better when a spouse understands and supports our heeling "habit."

Take care…  sf

Have fun and TAKE PHOTOS! Be careful not to overdo it. If you aren't used to walking distances in heels, you might find your ankles and the balls of your feet hurt after a while. Getting blisters or a bum ankle is no fun, so watch how much you wear heels and change into flats if you start to ache.

Well, we had a great time today in Seattle.  First we spent a couple of hours at Pikes Place Market, then we went to IKEA in Renton and that was at least 2 or 3 hours and then we fought traffic all the way back to Whidbey Island.  I am so glad we live in Montana now.  NO TRAFFIC!!!  Anyway, the whole day I was expecting someone to say something about my heels but the only comment I got was on my nail polish and it was a positive one so, all in all a total non event.  I enjoyed it so much that I'm looking forward to our next trip out and this time I'm going to wear my blue suede 3" pumps.  They will go perfectly with my jeans.

Believe it or not, everywhere we went, there wasn't a single mirror for me to take pics so I had to wait till I got home so here is a pic of what I was wearing today.

Thanks for all the support.  It really helped along with the support of my loving wife.

LUVSHeels,

Thanks for sharing your experiences, while in Seattle.

I have never been to Montana, but I know where the term, "Big Sky Country", comes from.

One of my neighbors, is originally from Montana. Her brother was here this past February, visiting. He is a farmer somewhere in Montana. His only dislike he expressed to me, was with all the snow, that we get here, in Western New York State.

Enjoy your heeling, there.

Happy Heeling,

bluejay

Thanks again for all the support on here, it really did make it easier to go out for the first time.

Bluejay, believe me when I say we get a lot of snow where we live in Montana.  My wife and I live literally across the highway from East Glacier National Park and we get about 6 to 7 feet of snow accumulation minimum every year.  It even snows in late June.

Have a great day and keep on heeling

A friend of mine was in a seminary in BlueJays neck of the woods.  I still remember his stories about lake effect snow.  He was in the recreation room at the seminary overlooking a parking lot full of cars when it started to snow.  At the end of the TV program, all the cars had vanished in a smooth covering of snow.  He said they had a Cat D3 just to clear the sidewalks.  The chapel main entrance faced north west (right towards the lake) and they had to put up an 18 foot barrier several feet away from the door o catch the drifts so they could get into the chapel.

Back on topic.

LUVSHeels -  Sounds you had a great first outing.  Each one gets easier,

Hey LUVSHeels, Good for you getting out and wearing some heels in Seattle, that is a good place to do start. My was from Seattle and spent lots of time there, fun place to cruise in some heeled shoes. Great shopping too, such good stores in Bellevue and Queen Ann.

I am just up north from you in BC, are you on the west side or east side of Glacier Park?

Thanks for sharing!

Yes, we had a great day in Seattle, I'm just glad I don't have to deal with that traffic anymore, and I'm from the East Glacier side.  We will be headed back in a couple of weeks.  We are down here for some annual salmon fishing.  It's the one thing I do miss living in Washington.

Have a great day all and keep on heeling :)

Last November, some areas East and South of Buffalo, got 6-7' of snow in 2 or 3 days, from constant Lake Effect. That's more than you get all season long, there in Montana. A small town East of Buffalo, recorded over 250" of snow this past winter. That's over 20 feet!

Happy Heeling,

Thanks LUVSHeels, true, traffic is a problem as many of the big cities are. Parking is whole other problem too, makes heeling easy when have to walk further..LOL

Here is a photo of the cabin we just bought on June 2nd of last year.  The "For Sale" sign is still in the front yard.  We hadn't even started moving in yet.  They told us that it usually starts snowing the first week of October and doesn't really go away until late May/early June.

That is pretty darn nice there LUVSHeels, certainly cozy looking and a place to just relax and enjoy life. Are you able to wear heels in and around your Cabin home?

I get the feeling that Montana is not necessarily the open minded place Seattle is, so wearing heels would at home or discreetly is that your feeling too?

Nice place!

Hi Bluejay, Yes in Buffalo area you did get a wack of snow last winter in those storm cycles, but I think it rained incredibly after that no? The weather is so wonky everywhere that "normal winter or seasons are not normal any longer" has been touted. Even in the west we had a low snow winter now extreme warmth and drought to the south in California, geez just can't count on whats next. But is is certainly the extreme events are fun to watch.

, much of the US NE and Maritimes of Canada were hammered

Mtnsofheels,

I haven't built up the nerve to wear around the neighborhood or into town.  I just wear around the yard and in the house.  I will also wear them while I am driving and then change when we get to town.  Until I figure out how everyone feels about men in heels and such, I guess it will just have to be that way.  At least I will be making my annual trip to Washington to do my Salmon fishing and crabbing so I can guarantee you I will be heeling then.

Have a great day ad keep on heeling.

I also go out and about in Seattle, Bellevue and everywhere around in heels.

I must say that hardly anybody ever notice my heels unless I put my 5 inch stilettos.

I am actually to the point where I like when people notice my heels.
