Easing My Way With Heels

I don't know how to put this lightly other than to just say it... What do you think about tactical kilts(man skirt)? Honest question. Not only that, but also a tactical messenger bag(man purse). And for the situation, I could add on some heels. I'll take anyone's opinion.

Thanks,

Preston

Preston;

Just my opinion but, starting with a skirt and purse seems like a hard way to get into heels.  Seems like not too long ago you were trying to hide your heels from your parents.  I suggest you take a look at JeffB's thread on skirts.   I have a post there you might find interesting.

I think the purse (tactical messenger bag) would probably be an easy start.  It does take a little while to get used to using one but, I for one don't want to go back to putting stuff in my pockets (which I often don't have).  I'd start with simple one with a long strap that will position the bag near your waist or a cross body strap which is a little better for security.

As for the skirt (tactical kilts), I think I'd start with black leggings and a long top, even if it's only an oversized T-shirt .  The lack of pockets would also be a good excuse for the purse.  You can actually wear a mini skirt under a long top without it being seen an then wear it over the top when you want it to be seen.

I know wearing heels is one of your goals but leggings look real nice with flats and they are really not a male styled shoe.

I think it all depends on how hard/fast you want to push your wearing non-traditional clothing with your parents.  Are they on board with how you want to present yourself?

My apologies TBG, I actually have a lot on my mind, I'm always thinking due to ADHD. I still have to get the heels, I'm planning on just buying them later on in the day after I snooze a bit, and have little regret when they come, but still pray that I don't get caught.

I have a benefit with the Tactical kilt though, since I made a deal with one of my school pals, if I get one for him and myself, we will both wear them. As for the heels, well... I have one of my best friends (male) and can always get a female friend with little ease that we can go out with.

Ill also point out I showed my mom the bag, and she said "It's your money, if you want it, you can buy it."

The bag                 The kilt             The heels

Kinda funny, but I really never considered the viewpoint of the handbag. I usually have my netbook computer with me wherever I go, so I have this Targus bag that's actually smaller than most womens purses. I keep all kinds of ""Man stuff"" in it along with meds and digital crap. I don't carry it around the stores and malls, but a couple guys I know like to call it my "Man purse".

I have had a messenger bag for awhile. It took awhile to get used to having it. It's handy for carrying my lunch, a small jacket, foldup umbrella etc

I also put anything I buy whilst out in it (saves using plastic bags from the shop)

Messenger bags are not a big deal for men to wear, so I would say don't worry so much about wearing that. But based off of your style tastes from Pinterest I'd say the skirt and heels look good. I think if you look on ASOS they do have men's skirts sort of, but I forget how much they are cause ASOS can either have stuff for <$30 or >$300 lol.
