I'm not sure if they sell them in other countries. Second yoga jeans are the most comfortable jeans I've ever worn. I have them in skinny flare. They are perfect under kneehigh boots. What Levi's claims to be skinny isn't really that much of a skinny jeans, I think. I've got so many jeans (most of them black and blue) in different lengths (for different heel heights) that I have printed out little paper tags that I put up in front of them. What attracts me to these brands is they are fairly high quality and can be inexpensive when found on clearance. I usually never pay more than $20 for jeans, Also, the come in a variety of cuts specific for body style, all the latest trends, and colors. Best fitting for me is a replica of the Victoria Beckham's rock pebublic jeans. Got them in China for a ridiculous price and they fit fanstasically. I also like "Denizen" available at Burlington Coat Factory among others as well as the jeans at Macy's and Lane Bryant. The first two stores have jeans at a very reasonable price and the second two are more expensive. The benefit of the Macy's and Lane Bryant is in their fitting rooms. There is no checking tags or any of that sophomoric nonsense so they are more condicive to our members for trying on things. I frequently either wear heels into such such stores or take a pair of heels in a bag with me if I believe I may be buying jeans which then gives me a pretty good look at how the pants of jeans will look. For bootcut jeans my favourites are from Peacocks (£12): They sit really comfortably on the waist and hips and have a nice shape to them. These are from a couple of years ago and have the stitch detailing on the pockets. Their current version just has plain pockets, presumably cost-cutting to stay at their price-point but I'd rather pay an extra £1 and have the stitching. It's enough to make me hold off buying and look elsewhere. I also have some bootcut jeans from New Look (these in black, and also the same pair in white), and they're also a great fit, and the material has a nice soft-texture and not too thin. I find it's just trial and error, I have to shop around and try on lots of different styles and maybe 1 in 10 will have the right combination of fit and styling for me to buy. If that's true for bootcut, it's even more so for skinny jeans. I don't have the best legs for skinnies but my favourites so far are from Peacocks: The black pair are a little long and bunch towards the ankle, but I've seen that look out-and-about and I quite like it (whether I pull it off or not is another matter). In any case, I think too long is definitely better that too short. With skinny jeans I actually like the look with flats as well as heels, but for bootcut it has to be heels. If you like it, wear it. A 29 inch leg is ok with normal flat heels, so if I am going to be a guy in heels why not show them off at the end of the day (sorry for the pun) I think that's what people like me and many others want to do, why wear heels if you do not want people to notice. life is not a rehearsal Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

SleekHeels Posted November 14, 2013 Share Posted November 14, 2013 Personally I agree that shorter length jeans can be great for showing off heels, but that would work best with tapered or straight-leg jeans. With bootcut styles I think short would look a bit strange, and I prefer longer bootcuts that cover about half of the heel height when standing (and reveal all the heel height when sitting). I guess short skinny jeans would work too, although I do see the slightly bunched skinny-jeans look around too and that can look ok, either with heels or even ballet flats. If I'm wearing my bootcut jeans and change from heels to flats, I have to roll up the jeans a little to avoid them touching the floor - I don't really like roll-ups but it's better than scuffing the jeans and easier than carrying a shorter pair of extra jeans around.
