Curt
Is there an easy way to remove heel taps. I want to put a more quiet one on. I walk in a lot of places where you can't make too much noise
pebblesf
Great topic! Sometimes I am self concious because of the heel noises I make in public...All the public heeling I have been doing in these 4" thrift store boots has already destroyed the heel tips, so I need to learn how to replace them.... 9inchheel
CDL. mud flaps cut to size and epoxyed to the heel is 100 percent quite. and makes heels higher buy at least 1/4 inch. JUST WHAT A COBBLER WOULD DO

Mike Hinch
Mud flap material is not subject to epoxy gluing. That might be done with uncured rubber which would bond to nearly anything. Only thing is it likes to be hot to cure but with the right balence it can bond to materials that do not take too much heat. Have done it.
