Pleased to see that we have made a few arrangements. Ionic, you didnt mentionn anything about Leatherworks? any news on that for us. A bit of news from me, my gf Jade was unaware of my trip thursday, and knowing we both had today off (mon) then she bought 2 tickets to... youll never guess... London! So looks like the scenery will be quite familiar this week. Pleased to say she suggested i should take my heels, and i had a pleasant walk from westminster, past Mr Blairs quarters and up past the Majesty herself, all the way to Hyde Park corner. We were doing quite a bit of runing about hence why i removed my heels after then, but it was a pleasant stroll none the less, and noone gave a toss. I have located the meeting point, good job i looked otherwise i probably would have gone totally in the wrong direction, but schedule is A OK for thurs. Daz

Oh Daz! I'm utterly puzzled as to why you've kept your splendid Jade in the dark about our Heel-Meet, what with her being so supportive to yourheel-wearing and all! Isay that because it would have been GREAT to have brought her on the Heel-Meet with you! Ladies are MOST welcome on the meets - we wish more of them would come. So sad to have gone to London like that without her actually enjoying a heel-meet! Also, you ask have we cleared the visit with Leatherworks. The answer is YES, as already posted with my most recent revised schedule above. Cheerfully yours, Heelfan

Also, are any of this Thursday group a narrowish size 7.5 or perhaps a 7?

I have a couple of eBay disasters to offload. Labelled 8/41s, I misread clues that they might be generous 8s, they aren't! They are both very light and I might be prepared to carry one of them with me..

The first are from New Look and are pointy pixie PU ankle boots with a splayed or hour glass 4inch stiletto. Used a bit with a touch of wear on the heel tip. Cheap and cheerful but fun.

_

The second are from Saxone, also pointy but in a plush suedette and very nicely lined. The heel is 10.5cms and slender tapering, not quite a stiletto. Have a hint of quality. Might be an eighth of a size bigger than the first. New condition, unmarked sole and heels.

### - 2nd pair NOW SOLD, sorry - ###

To speed the loading of the page, I've taken out the image rendering of the second pair but for now I've left the link in.

Tell me by PM if you are interested [in the first pair only].

Heelfan do not be disappointed. It happens that firstly only i have the week off work. Being the facts that i have to book my full years holidays in november, and last november i wasnt with jade, therefore collating agreements couldnt be arranged for holidays off work. She had last week and yesterday. She isnt in the dark about our meet. She knows im having a day out but im puzzled to think that i didnt mention it was London, or maybe she didnt hear or forgot whatever, but she didnt know (was sure i did mention it tho) She doesnt mind, and when we can both make it i have no probs bout her coming to one of our meets. I think the London idea yesterday was so that she wanted to show me that i can walk round London like we did previously with her as well, hence the reason she insisted my heels came too :( She doesnt like the idea of been left out of things. RIGHT! With only two days to go, can we please cut out the irrelevant chit-chat and leave this thread clear for the finalised Heel-meet arrangments as follows: Can I suggest everyone bringing with them a print-out of this to refer-to?: HEEL-MEET, LONDON, THURSDAY 6th NOVEMBER 2003 9.30 FGWJon arrives by train at Paddington Station and is met there by Heelfan (using their mobiles to meet - 07760 398002 and 07966 450583 respectively) before proceeding to King's Cross. 10.25 AM Daz arrives at Kings' Cross Station, and joins the already-congregated group on Platform 9 3/4 (yes, it really exists!). 10.30AM The group departs on a short, shared taxi ride to Leatherworks. 10.50 AM (approx) Visit Leatherworks factory until departure by shared taxi at about 11.50am. MIDDAY (approx) Visit The Little Shoe Box factory. 1 PM Lunchingtons (Munchingtons/Boddingtons). 2 PM to 8 PM Retail shops (Thursdays is London's late shopping night!). At this point we might split into two groups- the "Smallfoots" to do the best of thge ordinary ladies' shoeshops and the "Bigfoots" to do the few specialist retailers who cater for large ladies shoes in size 8 upwards. 8.25 PM Daz's train departs from King's Cross to Birmingham. He asks whether others can stay-on until around this time. ATTENDEES: Daz, Firefox, Ionic, Xaphod, FGWJon, me and we hope Dr. Shoe. Emma (not Emma J Nation) is coming, but didn't say whether this is to the London Meet or the Birmingham meet. Jo can't make it, but maybe one or two lurkers (such as John and Simon) might turn up again. Anyone delayed or lost normally rings Firefox's mobile: 07941 172043. I'll also take my new mobile: 07966 450583. Daz's is 07742 503037. This revised schedule can still be varied on the day, of course. Thanks to Daz for the initial idea, and LET'S HAVE A GOOD ONE! Cheerfully yours, Heelfan _________________ Onwards and upwards!

Met the boys for a beer lunchtime. Only three people in the pub, but as the gang walked in, the face on the chap by the door was priceless. Wouldn't have missed it for the world :( Nice to meet the you all and put faces to the handles. Hope the feet arn't too sore after your hike round town. Toodles TB2.

Are you confusing me with someone who gives a damn?

Hiya TB2, good to meet you although you were across on the other table. I'm usually oblivious to any stares and comments, I'm glad we provided entertainment. Actually on the Tube going home one of the women across from me had a broad smirk on her face near the end of the journey, and that wasn't the woman in the stiletto boots that I was more obviously showing a foot to ~ she noticed nothing.... Anyway this isn't the official report but for the curious we numbered seven losing one at the outset (hope he had a good day too). I sold one pair of boots, wore all four of the changes I had with me and bought two new pairs of boots, one very smart cowboy themed (a special treat from Magnus) and one cheap and cheapful from New Look. Laden with any more and I would have needed a wheelbarrow! This was also a first time out for me both in a true 4" heel (without platform) and with a blade heel shape. A full account of the fun will follow shortly from the others. /I

I almost forgot my duty as official photographer:

Posted Image

From left to right,

Simon, Heelfan, Ionic, FGWJohn, Daz, Dr Shoe

Behind the camera, me.

(BTW Heelfan, I can view your pics on my camera as you saw using your XD card, but my software wont recognise them, and therefore I can't download them, so we are back to square 1 :( )

Yes! The seven of us (eight at one point when Thighbootguy dropped in on us at lunchtime) had a great day, the only misfortunate being having to move of fairly soon our our arranged moving-off time 10.35, losing our ninth member before he arrived. This was most unfortunate, but we were concious that Andrew (proprietor, Leatherworks factory, who had taken the day off to instruct his plumber at home), was coming there at 10.50 for an hour especially to meet us. Also, Ionic warned us that Spiros (proprietor of Little Shoe Box, the second factory) always went for lunch punctually on the dot of 1 pm, so we had to keep to the original schedule. Both factories (and there accompanying showrooms and shoe catalogues) were most interesting, and we were pleased to see that both had been aquiring new lasts with rounded and squared toes to offer alternatives to the usual pointed fetish toe. After a most enjoyable lunch, we went over to Magnus, Chiltern Street (next to Baker Street) who specialise in Ladies' large shoes size 9 to 12. Many purchases were made! (two pairs in my case). Two members bought the most wonderful cowboy boots with gorgeous slim 3 3/4" heels. Two interested black ladies were trying-on shoes in there. I happened to be trying on a pair of black stiletto-heeled boots, and one said "Excuse me, are those now considered to be a unisex style?". We told them all about our forum-group and its interests. Moments later a very nice tall, young blonde lady also took an interest in our group and asked us all about it. "Yes" she said "There is something about heels - they certainly make a statement. And looking at what you are all wearing, I'm IMPRESSED!". We finished up in Oxford Street, doing Evans, Next, New Look (where various purchases were made including Dr. Shoe's THIRD pair of boots for the day) and Faith. This was followed by a meal-for-the-road in Garfunkel's (see Firefox's photo, with him out of shot as the photographer). As I said, another great Heel-Meet, the only sadness being our difficulty in being able to wait at King's Cross for our final member. I hope he understands the above reasons and is OK with us all for future Heel-Meets! Cheerfully yours, Heelfan

I have to say that as interesting a lad as Mr fix is himself, he should buy a new camera. What a horrid photo :( Anyway, what an enjoyable and entertaining day, i must provide a few thoughts. Firstly in order of the timetable we visited the Leatherworks. Heelfan spoke on behalf of the board to Andrew the Leatherworks shoemaker, our interest in the conservative styles that we guys could conceal, and showed our posts and examples from the boards printouts. I tried some 5.5in heels, and suprisingly i could stand up and could walk ok.......in very small steps, i think they were a bit out of my normal walking limits :o then a taxi to the LSB where Dr Shoe did his work experience (how interesting ) We looked at how the shoes were made and it was fascinating to watch. Heelfan also tried his magic with the guy there about our style wants, and i got the impression he wasnt too impressed. Then Lunch in the pub and a good chat we did have, not to mention the delicious food, while the guy at the door couldnt believe his eyes, simon was nicely chatting to the sexy barmaid who had a nice pair of boots on as me and big John observed! :(:-? Then a visit to Magnus, a nice shop for the larger foots, A few purchased from the group of a western style high boot with anice heel, and point toe, but they resemble a masculine image and we all agreed would be acceptable to wear, and under long stuff, would look like a mans shoe, but at £130 i gave that a miss. We had a nice chat to a lady who curiously asked why we had womens shoes on, Heelfan asked her why the girls should have all the fun. and explained with fix that we werent gay etc and we just liked the heels and mens stuff is boring. She agreed and said that a heel does feel good. Heelfan asked me to shoe the girl my 4.5in stilettos and the lady didnt believe that i could wear, and had worn them all day  was quite an encouraging thought. As the lady departed she told us that she was impressed and we should keep it up. Heelfan tried more magic with the Magnus manager, but he wasnt very pleasant and basical said he wasnt aiming his market at our wants and acted as though we were asking for 7in stilettos or obvious fetish interests which wasnt the case. We then went down oxford street, visited a few shops, spent a while in the large posh New Look (with the forgotten to complete roof :( ) and Dr Shoe made another purchase. Plenty of styles but mostly rubbish with loads of buckles etc, not my style. Then more lunch, which is where firefox obviously used his new bendy lens too take our photo  The two girls on the table behind us couldnt stop looking at Ionics shoes but he didnt seem to notice. We then made our departure to Kings X. Pleased to say that as i kept my Wallet, Keys, Train Tickets and money all safe this time, i had not a worry in the world and couldve walked round all night without a care in the world who looked. Confidence or what. I think without been too modest that i didnt do bad staying 10 hours in 4.5in stilettos, broke my own records anyway. Sad to announce that i broke my agreement with Jade that id arrive in my heels, and ended up removing my boots on the train, as they are still a bit tight and was starting to hurt my feet, so i got off at Doncaster in my trainers in the end. I think i covered everything, Truly an excellent day! Enjoyment all the way Daz

>>snip<< Then more lunch, which is where firefox obviously used his new bendy lens too take our photo :(.

The two girls on the table behind us couldnt stop looking at Ionic's shoes but he didnt seem to notice.

That is quite interesting. I did a style swop while the adjacent table was empty and being cleared into a pair of stretch fabric boots with a small platform and a shiny black big block 3.75" heel. The lycra fabric is a very jet black in colour and not the most masculine looking, I suppose, and our table was so tight I couldn't hide my feet underneath. (They are light and ultra-comfortable after a long day but I reckon they may be best for evening use.)

I did check the two women on the table adjacent after they settled down and I never caught them looking at me. Perhaps Daz is referring to some people across the other side, they might have seen me change earlier.

Frankly I'm happy to be oblivious if people are looking and don't get my body language response to their stares. As I said higher up, one passengar on the tube home across from me was smirking and plainly wanting to break out into a laugh.

_

I don't think the chap at Magnus was unpleasant just rather defensive at our enthusiasm which was probably a bit overwhelming ~ especially since we completely filled his small shop. At least we left his coffers several hundred pounds fuller, so he can't complain too much. (are you allowed any more overtime Doc.?? :( )

_

I think we should be careful when we are in a large group that we don't put off other shoppers and cause them to drift off; this will reduce our welcome at such occasions and not promote our cause well.

The lay out at the New Look store was quite awkward too and we were getting in each other's and everyone else's way too.

_

edited later//

I just remembered another of the highlights of the day. We also saw a couple of sample shoes made up for Prince. And as I'm sure you are itching to know they were a fraction either side of 4" and as small as a UK size 5-6. One had a special re-inforcing bracket to take the punishment of his stage acrobatics. So he has probably always had to shop on the women's aisles anyway.

Firefox, that is a lovely picture of the guys at lunch...but where are the boots? Hopefully you took a picture or two of the footwear that you guys wore for the outing. And, I, as a great fan of cowboy boots, am dying to see what the western style boots look like that a couple of guys bought. And chance of some more photos from the official photographer...or even from an un-official photographer? Thanks, Bob

Yes Firefox, I agree with Texboots - you're slipping from your heel-moderating duties by showing the upper halves and not the lower halves of us heel-meeters! I did think of suggesting at the Heel-Meet (and I wish I had now) that we had a "heel-parade" or "heel line-up" where all of our items of footwear were captured and posted for posterity! Next time perhaps! In the meantime, maybe Ionic or Dr. Shoe could photograph and post a pic of one of their SUPERB pairs of the Magnus cowboy boot with the gorgeous slim 3 7/8" heel! I'm still tearing my hair that they'd sold-out of my size (44), but FGWJon's parting words at the end of the day were that he was seriously thinking of going back at his earliest opportunity to snap-up the one-and-only pair of 45s. If he does, they'll have sold three pairs to our group along, putting a cool £400 or so into their till! Cheerfully yours, Heelfan

Perhaps for someone's interest.

In this thread is spoken about Cover Girl, a shop for fetish and tv/tg which also sell shoes in larger sizes.

I've found a webpage with the address of the shop.

It should be at 5 Packington Bridge, London N1, tel. 0207 354 2883 and they sell shoes in size 8 to 13 UK

There are more addresses on the page.

It is at http://www.northernconcord.org.uk/shoes.htm

I don't know if it is old or out of order.
