  1. It is a known fact that if you wear sandals or any open toe footwear in really cold weather that you will end up with really cold toes especially if you go bare footed. in the colder months i wear boots or shoes. a couple of months ago i purchased a lovely pair of open toe sandal boots. i am really looking forward to the warmer months so i can consign my boots to the cupboard and enjoy wearing my open toe sandal boots. i actually own two pairs of sandal boots. i really like the design as they have the support of a boot but allow air around your feet like a pair of sandals.
  2. I came across this article in my local paper. It has given me an idea for a new challenge https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1348146491924600&id=460357840703474
  3. Im interested as to what the limits are when it comes to heeling in public. Do you restrict yourself to a dark alleyway or dont you care? It does not matter what your heels are like or how high. It would be interesting to know what sort of places you wear them. So where do I wear my heels? Well I have been wearing them almost every day for the last 2 weeks. In this time I have been shopping in a busy supermarket (Tesco). Been to my mates gigs a few times (i'm his roadie). Went to see my father a few times. Went to my girlfriends home. Today I even ventured into a busy builders yard for the first time. I dont care where I go to be honest. I have got over the shy stage of wearing heels as daily footwear.
  4. Ok. so i wear womens heels in public as my daily footwear. What i would like to know is what i am classed as. Am i a crossdresser or could i be termed gay. first let me tell you a bit about myself. I am a 51 year old widow who lost my wife just over a year ago. I now have a new girlfriend who i have been seeing since Febuary. the thought of even kissing another bloke in a romantic way is enough to make me cringe. I am a full blooded man in the bedroom department as well when im engaging in some romantic activity. i do not dress in womens clothing (unless its a fancy dress outfit for fundraising) and i only wear womens shoes. The style of shoe i prefer to wear in public are normally black or brown and the most lady like footwear i would wear is an open toe boot/sandal. so what am i classed as?
  5. if the above link wont work try this link http://www.southwales-eveningpost.co.uk/woman-seen-walking-up-wales-highest-peak-wearing-high-heels-in-wintry-conditions/story-30034207-detail/story.html
  6. My new Ugg boots have just arrived from Australia. this is the link. www.uggbootsforall.com it is the second pair i have ordered from this company. when i ordered the first pair i had to pay over £20 import taxes etc. this time i never had to pay any form of duty whatsoever. im not complaining because £100 for a pair of Ugg boots is a bargain even i enbded up paying the duties. has anyone ever experienced the same thing? cant think why this has happened
  7. Directly from australia
  8. i my opinion it is a wise idea to reguarly switch between flats and heels. also dont stick to the same height of heels all the time. try to vary the height between 2.5 and 4 inch for regular use on a daily basis and save the skyscrapers for the special events. my comfortable height for daily wear is between 2.75 and 3.75 inch. 4 inch is ok for 5 or 6 hours. i keep the higher heels for special occasions and fundraising. block heels are also a lot easier to walk in and also safer. they also need less maintainence. if i was to wear stilettos on a daily basis they would need to be re tipped around every 2 weeks with plastic tips or 6 weeks with metal tips. chunky heels will last me around 3 months in constant use. you will also find that some heels will benefit from insoles. sometimes you will find heels more comfortable wearing nylons. personally if im wearing peeptoes i like to go bare foot but when wearing pumps or boots i like to wear nylons but this depends on the weather
  9. Although velcro is a very good invention it is not always perfect in every situation. i have a pair of block heel sandal boots that i love wearing. the strap at the back is secured by a small bit of velcro. the problem is that it sometimes comes undone when walking around. i am lucky that the boots also have front lace fastening. i then came up with the idea that i can get away by permantly securing the back strap and use the laces. what i done was put a good dollop of superglue on the velcro then secured it to the desired position. hey presto. so far this has been sucessful. i now feel a lot safer without having to worry if the back strap comes undone
  10. Here are some pics of me in my new sandal boots. They fit great and are so comfortable and easy to walk in. Im looking forward to next year so I can wear them when the weather is more appropiate. In the meantime I will have to make do wearing them round the house They are made by Christian Siriano for Payless
  11. My new sandal boots arrived today. they are so comfortable and fit great. They will be great for the summer months
  12. cant remember if i donr it or not but here goes Name = Kevin Age = 51 Gender = Male Location = swansea, UK Occupation = self employed gardener Height = 6 feet Weight = 14 stone aprox Shoe size = average uk10 What's your favourite heel style = Block What's your favourite shoe style = peeptoe boots Do you wear your heels outside = depends on what im doing What is: (a) Your favourite heel height: = 3.5" (a) Your highest heel height: = 7'' How often do you wear: (a) Your favourite heel height = most days (a) Your highest heel height = charity walks only Do you wear socks, hose, stockings or bare feet with your shoes = black pop socks, footsies or bare feet Anything else you wish to add = i started to wear heels to fundraise but after finding they held releive my back pain i now wear them daily
  13. well it is over 2 years since i done the month in heels challenge. i wore the heels for the whole month with no pain whatsoever. my back was transformed and i was a lot more agile. here are the heels i wore for the month for the last 2 or 3 months i have plucked up courage to wear heels on a daily basis. i am doing very well and i have no pain at all. here are some more pics of my daily wear heels. the beige sandal boots are currently on order. heel heights range from 2.75'' with no platform to 3.75'' with a platform
  14. I can easily walk in 5 inch heels but there is no way i would wear them day in day out for 10+ hours at a time. for your job i would consider a 3 inch heel a maximum or maybe 4 with a platform. you are at risk of serious problems. personally if your job allows it i would wear flats for a month or two to allow your feet time to recover. i normally wear a 2.75 to a 3.75 heel as daily wear but i dont wear them for 10+ hours every day like you do. on the other hand i wore these heels for at least 8 hours per day for a whole month (31 days) and found them very comfortable but when i attempted to walk a half marathon in them i was barely able to stand. they have a 4 inch block heel with a 1 inch platform. they were also a bit on the large side which i suppose is better than being tight
  15. LEGGINGS OR JEGGINGS
  16. They sent me a pair of nike trainers instead of a pair of high heeled peeptoe boots. when i tried to contact them to organise a return they would not respond to my emails. i contacted them around 5 times with no response. im lucky the trainers fit ok as i would have been left with an item of no use
  17. i will not be ordering from http://www.just4birminghamjobs.co.uk/ again but i have managed to find a nice pair of peeptoe sandal boots. they have a 3 inch block heel so they will be easy to walk in and hopefully comfortable. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/Large-size-Mens-Ladies-Tan-block-ankle-Strap-Shoes-UK-10-UK-11-DRAG-TV-CD/311741390890?hlpht=true&ops=true&viphx=1&_trksid=p5197.c100068.m2280&_trkparms=ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140211125758%26meid%3Da921cf105e114792a78f808e4bcba60a%26pid%3D100068%26clkid%3D773537160032027933&_qi=RTM2108002
  18. As we all know it is not very easy to buy womens shoes, especially heels in sizes larger than a UK10 (US11 & EU43) If you know of a supplier let us all know. dont post up a picture. All we need to know are the following details maximum size. country of origin. and most importantly, their website details I will start you all off with one I recently found that i intend to purchase from. I will let you know how i get on http://www.just4birminghamjobs.co.uk/ They stock sizes up to UK11 and are UK based. It seems as if they sell discount designer brands
  19. how about these. they go to a size uk13 http://www.nooshoes.co.uk/shop/ladies-size-13-high-heel-shoes-pink-dots/
  20. I have just ordered a nice pair of sandal boot shoes ready for the summer. I had them on ebay from a british seller. hopefully they fit ok. They should be here by the end of the week. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/bigbeautifulfeet/m.html?item=311741390890&var=610626053740&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
  21. With reference to this website i advise all members NOT to purchase from them. when i ordered from them the order arrived quickly but it was not what i wanted. when i tried to communicate with the company to ask about a return they would not answer my emails so i have been left with a pair of Nike trainers instead of a pair of high heeled peeptoe boots. anywyay at least the trainers fit ok.
  22. My heels from china arrived today but there is a problem. they sent me the wrong item. they sent me a pair of NIKE trainers instead. im just waiting to hear back from them so i can return them. i think this is a genuine mistake as there is a lot of difference between a stiletto peeptoe boot and a trainer. Nice trainers though. i think the seller is honest but what impressed me is the speed of delivery. in the past i have had to wait nearly 6 weeks for an order to arrive. these took just 12 days. i will of course let you know what happens
  23. delivery is in progress according to the tracking number but they are still in China.
  24. it says they are no longer available
  25. i love peeptoe boots. they can be platform or single sole or stiletto or chunky heel. my ideal elevation is around 3 or 3.5 inches. they can have open or closed leather would be the prefered material i am still waiting for this pair to arrive. hopefully they fit me well i also have a pair of these
